Middeling

Middeling is een belastingregeling om mensen met een jaarlijks wisselend inkomen tegemoet te komen. Zij betalen doorgaans namelijk meer belasting, dan wanneer dat inkomen gelijkmatig verdeeld zou zijn. Het belastingvoordeel via deze regeling loopt al snel op tot honderden euro’s.

Middeling kan gebruikt worden door iedereen die in drie aaneengesloten jaren een wisselend inkomen uit werk en woning (box 1) heeft gehad. Dit zijn bijvoorbeeld starters op de arbeidsmarkt, ZZP’ers en ondernemers.

Om in aanmerking te komen moet er over de gehele periode wel belasting zijn betaald in Nederland en moeten alle belastingaanslagen van de betreffende jaren definitief zijn.
